Things to do in Albuquerque

Sandia Peak New Mexico is home to a diverse landscape. It is home to some extremely hot summers but then at the same time winter can be surprisingly cold. Not far from the city of Albuquerque is Sandia Peak which is one of the highest points in the state. The peak is 10,300 feet tall and at the top of it you can see over 11 thousand square miles of land. It is one of the most beautiful places to stand in all of New Mexico. The path to get to the peak isn’t easy but a Tramway has been installed that takes you from the base of the peak all the way to the top. The tram travels a distance of 2.7 miles, the tram ride was my favorite part of the experience. It isn’t very often that you get to see terrain change so quickly. You can start at the base with green grass then as you climb higher and higher the green grass will slowly because covered with snow. It is like transitioning into another world. At the base of the tram is a ski museum, it captures the rich history that the Peak has during the winter months where skiing is popular and flourishes. Sandi Peak is a great place to visit no matter the time of year.
