Boston isn’t normally considered to be a very beautiful city. Its often cold, wet, and windy. What many people fail to see is the Boston Public Garden. Its one of the first places I visited while in Boston and was my favorite. It was a large park full of green grass and lots of trees. I was told there is over 600 different types of tress in the Garden although I didn’t stop to count I just took in the beauty they had to offer. Perhaps one of the most popular aspects of the park is the Swan Boats. The boats are a wonderful way to see the garden. The quality float along the water ways and show visitors the many beautiful things in the garden. I would suggest taking a boat ride then walking around the garden to see everything up close and personal. The Boston Public Garden actually the first public garden in the United States and today is still a very popular place to visit. If you don’t want to take a ride in the boats don’t’ worry there is plenty of other things to see it usually take about two hours to go through the garden. My daughter also loved the garden or should I say the little ducklings. It’s a bronze sculpture or sculptures of a duck with her many ducklings following behind. It’s a very cute sight and kids love them. It’s a perfect photo op and depending on the size of your kids they can even hop on momma duck for a very special picture. The Garden was founded in 1837 and nearly 200 years later it is still a great place to visit and explore.

There is something about pizza that just keeps bringing us back. When every we are traveling my family tends to seek out the local pizza joints and see what’s good. I’m not sure if its because pizza is usually cheaper than other restaurants or just harder to screw up. While in Boston a local told us the only place to go in Boston for pizza is Regina’s in the North End. It’s a simple pizzeria where pizza is the star. They don’t server anything besides pizza, calzones, and a good selection of drinks so don’t’ come looking for a burger or steak it’s not going to happen. Regina’s has simple decor that is cozy and inviting the pizza however it out of this world its more of an Italian style pizza. Which is different than pizza hut but it is extremely delicious. We got a few different types of pizza’s while dining. Each pizza seemed to be the best we had ever had. Even a simple cheese pizza was astounding. My favorite perhaps was the pepperoni and sausage pizza. the meats were delicious and bought from a local deli. Pizzeria Regina is a great place to get a pizza but be prepared to wait a for it during meal times because it’s a favorite in the area.
