La Paz
Waterfall Gardens
Welcome to the beautiful
Rainforest in Heredina, Costa Rica! La Paz is a gorgeous
piece of the rainforest that is filled with waterfalls and
exotic animals through out the entire place. It has over 3.5
kilometers of walking trails that are primarily self guided,
but a guided tour is also available. The gardens have some
amazing exhibits to see through out your journey including
the Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird garden, Serpentarium,
Frog Exhibit, Tica House, and awesome bird watching areas.
There is 5 beautiful waterfalls that run along the main
trail with breath taking views. The Gardens also have a
beautiful lodge called the Peace Lodge on the property of La
Paz with amazing views from the balcony, Jacuzzi tubs, and
rainforest showers all illuminated by skylight, you'll never
want to leave.

The Museum
of Monteverde History
The Museum lets you
experience the history of Monteverde and how Central America
came to existence. Learn about the culture and about the
people that called Monteverde their home for over thousands
of years followed by the Ticos and Quakers that left in the
195o's to avoid the Korean War. Travel through time in this
museum about the land and what it once was to what it has
become now.

The Bat
Jungle
The Bat Jungle is located in
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. It recently opened in
2006 and is filled with over 11 different species of bats.
This reserve is to promote recognition of the ecological
importance of bats. The Bat Jungle is the first of its kind
in Central America. Make sure you listen real close, you can
hear the bats echolocation sounds through a special "bat
detector" speaker system. Threes also tons of exhibits,
photos and interesting facts to learn while your there.
