adults. The Museum has over 12,500 square feet of gallery and
program space so there is plenty of space to learn, play, and learn.
The Museum's permanent exhibits are; In My Family- this interactive
family exhibit was inspired by the works of nationally acclaimed
artist Carmen Lomas. Here visitors can share the ways their
family celebrate special occasions & the family's daily routines.
Family traditions differ across cultures & regions and yet have many
things in common. Other popular permanent exhibits
include Rising Star Ranch- this area was created especially for
children under 2 and their parents. In the Rising Star Ranch
the little ones will have a great time discovering several fun
exhibits just for them from the Frog Pond, Wildflower Bed, Pecan
Tree, Up & Over Bridge to the Ranch House & Barn. Funstruction
Zone- grab your favorite construction tools and get ready for some
fun. Funstruction Zone is a three level active play zone
featuring a wide variety of kid-friendly construction tools,
materials and operable equipment. Kids can also count, sort,
measure and build. And last is the Tinkerer's Workshop- Get
ready to build, tinker and test your own one-of-a-kind creation. You
can choose if it fly's, rings or moves your imagination is the limit
!!! Here you will find more than enough bits & pieces to
tinker with, make things and than try them out that's what learning
is all about. The Austin Children's Museum offers a wide range
