Located on the main floor of the historic building dating back to
1916. Visitors will discover European old master paintings and
American Art up through 1900. A new East wing opened in 2009,
showcasing European & American art from the 1800's to the present.
Also displayed in the East wing are impressionism, Modern &
Contemporary art and photography. This very large &
spacious Museum also displays; African Art, Greek & Roman Art,
Egyptian and Ancient Near Eastern Art, American Painting &
Sculptures, Chinese Art, Textiles, Prints, Medieval Art, Korean Art,
Islamic Art, Japanese Art and Indian & South East Asian Art.
Throughout the year the Cleveland Museum of Art hosts several
special events, festivals, music & performances and much more.
