U.S. National Whitewater Center -- Have you ever wanted to go white water rafting? I have but the danger factor has all ways put me off. I want to go but I don’t want to fall off the raft and hit my head on a rock or get caught by the current. Well in Charlotte North Carolina there is a place where you can be given peace of mind. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is open to the public. The center is the largest man made recirculating river in the world. It uses gravity and some very powerful water pumps to keep water moving fast through tight turns and some very thrilling drops. The center has rivers of all difficulty making it a great place for rafters of all experience. If you have never gone whitewater rafting before then this is the place for you. There is no better place in the world. You will be safe and have a great time with your family and friends. Large boat rafting isn’t the only type they offer, for advance parties there is an exciting rodeo rafting that uses a much small lighter boat on the most difficult rivers. If going solo is your style there is even whitewater kayaking which can be quite a blast. The US national Whitewater Center is also the place to go for all things outdoors. There is rope courses, mountain bike trails, calm rivers for kayaking, standup paddle boarding, and even rent giant war canoes which are fun for large groups. If you want to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of Charlotte this is your place.

North Carolina is a beautiful state and because of that they love to each visitors and locals about out plant. That can be by building a giant man made rafting facility or by having one of the best natural science museums in the east. Discovery Place is one of the most popular stops in Charlotte for many. It’s an amazing museums with out of this world exhibits that are grounded in the sciences of our world. There are many exhibits that are great for all ages and even a 3 story IMAX Dome theater. This is only the second IMAX dome theater I have ever seen and let me tell you want its amazing. Think IMAX squared, you sit laid back and looking up at the screen, and the audio just makes everything come to life. You can’t see the room from one side of the vision to the next is screen. Its one of the most thrilling experiences you can have watching a movie. The exhibits in Discovery Place are just as amazing as the IMAX Dome. There is bound to be more than one you will enjoy. Take a look at the sea and see how life exhibits under the ocean blue, rethink what the definition of small is and learn about the Nano species that live life around us daily. The museum has a little something for everything and it will be more then enough to fill your day.
