Army Aviation Museum
Housing one of the largest helicopter collections
in the world, the Army Aviation Museum focuses on the role of fixed
and rotor wing flight in the US Army. The exhibits depict over 50
years of history of Army Aviation, and include a number of life size
dioramas, films, and interpretive material.
Dothan Opera House
Built in 1915, the building represents the
elegance of turn-of-the-century southern life. Theatrical
productions, ballets, and symphony performances are still held in
this landmark.
The Playground
Family entertainment center housing indoor skating
rink, laser tag arena, softplay gym with tunnels and slides.
Westgate Tennis Center
This complex includes 16 lighted full-size clay
tennis courts, a control center, observation deck, shade shelters,
and large courtyard.
Victorian Christmas
Centered around the pleasures of Christmas past,
visitors are invited to sample turn-of-the-century desserts and sip
hot chocolate or cider while children can enjoy making traditional
Victorian Christmas decorations. A circuit-riding preacher will
arrive on horseback to deliver a Christmas message at the church.
Antique & Collector Car Show
Visit one of the largest car shows in the
Wiregrass Region with approximately 200 cars on display, and models
ranging from "T" models to custom classics. |
Wiregrass Heritage Festival
Watch how peanuts were harvested in the Wiregrass Region half a
century ago. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of cane grinding,
syrup making, butter churning, basket weaving, soap making, and
other traditional farm activities.

Enjoy an evening of great music under the stars in
a relaxed, informal setting.

Visit an early 1900's farmstead complete with farm
house, out buildings, and farm animals; stroll the boardwalk and
nature trail, see a planetarium show, have a picnic, tour the

Dr, George Washington Carver Monument
The 6 foot monument salutes Dr. Carver, who
invented more than 300 uses for the peanut.

The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens
The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens is 50 acres of
partially wooded, gently rolling landscape in southeast Alabama.
