Last is The Children's Maze- Designed after the traditional hedge manner featuring knee high mazes that were popular during the Renaissance. The Children's Maze was planted in 1990 and is home to 1140 feet of hedges all maintained at a height of three to six feet. The adventure begins as you explore the maze, trying to reach the center as you twist and turn your way through the six foot high hedges. After you have reached the center of the maze, your goal is to find the exit. This is a great way to spend the afternoon during your visit to Brookings, South Dakota.

• South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum

Corn Palace

Is located in Mitchell, South Dakota the Indian Village is a prehistoric archeological site including a museum and Archeodome. • Mount Rushmore National Memorial
  Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota is home to the massive sculpture of four United States Presidents carved into a mountain side by the famous sculptor Gutzon Borglum.   Is located near Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial is a large mountainside sculpture honoring the great Lakota Indian Leader Crazy Horse along with American Indians. Korczak Ziolkowski was the famous sculptor who began carving this massive mountain sculpture. Fifty five years after Ziolkowski began carving Crazy Horse Memorial, his family carries on his dream. Construction of Crazy Horse is funded through private funding. blasting began in 1948 and continues today visitor's can see the progress and learn it's fascinating history. When completed Crazy Horse will stand 641 feet long and 563 feet high making it the worlds largest mountain carving. Visitor's will enjoy the Crazy Horse Museum showcases an extraordinary collection of  Native American art and artifacts reflecting the cultures and diverse history of the American Indian People. Yearly tribal members contribute art and artifacts enhancing the collection. A very large tipi is the central attraction in the museum the kids will love it. Also featured is Korczak's Studio and Home that he built from trees he cut, peeled and notched creating a log home. Furnished with lovely antique pieces from his previous house in West Hartford along with several works of art from Korczak including the Horse's Head that he carved in just nine days.
  Visitor's will be moved as you explore through the museum structured to compliment the story that is told in stone on the mountain, speaks eloquently to present and future generations about American Indian life.
   
• Bear Country

Bear Country is home to 20 species of North American mammals living in large natural exhibits. • Black Hills Caverns
