Gary
Aquatorium
The Aquatorium is the former
Bathhouse that was used from 1922 to 1971. Twenty
years later it reopened as the Gary Bathing Beach Aquatorium.
The Aquatorium is also a memorial to Octave Chanute who in
1896, flew the world's first aeronautically designed glider
from a dune located near the building. The Aquatorium is now
used to look out to the beach and the best time to visit is
at sunset.

Lake
Michigan Beach
Along the Lake Shore Lake
Michigan offers 5 different beaches. Marquette, Lake Street,
Miller, Wells Street, and West Beach. The beaches are
beautiful and super clean, some with hiking trails and
playgrounds, where as others you can splash around on the
waves on a jet ski or boat. Take the kids and spend a day in
the sun on Lake Michigan. Its a sight you wont want to miss.
