  • Dr. Seuss National Memorial Forest Park Zoo
    Located in the middle of the Springfield museums, is the Dr. Seuss National Memorial. Springfield is where Theodor Seuss Geisel was born, and Springfield is where a majority of his work was inspired. In Memory of the great Dr. Seuss, his step daughter, Lark Grey Dimond-Cates created 6 different bronze sculptures of his most memorable works, there's Yertle the turtle, Horton and Thing 1 and 2, the Lorax, the Grinch and Max, Thidwick the big hearted moose, and of course Dr. Seuss and the famous Cat in the Hat.

  • Forest Park Zoo
    Located in Forest park one of the Zoo's main goal is to promote public awareness and appreciation for indigenous and exotic animals. The Zoo helps educate about the animals and inhabit the protection for threatened and endangered species. At the Zoo there are hundreds of animals at the 735 acre zoo with a variety of different species, from spider monkeys to donkeys. Bring the little ones for some hands on fun with the Barnyard exhibit where they can pet and play with the animals. Its great for the whole family.

  • Springfield Science MuseumNaismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
    What was once known as the Springfield Ethnological and Natural History Museum, was started in 1859 and located in the towns City Hall, moved to the City Library building, to the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum and finally opened its own Museum of Natural History building in 1899. In 1961, as it is today, the name was changed to the Springfield Science Museum. At the museum you will find 6 great exhibits from viewing a life size T-Rex and live animals to looking into outer space with the Seymour Planetarium. There's so  much to explore at the Science Museum.
  • Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
    What is known as the greatest Hall of fame in all the world, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is located right in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Hall of Fame walks you through the history and the culture of the sport through the eyes of the people who enjoy it the most as well as the players and referees. The Memorial is dedicated to the coaches, players and people that are known for their plays, spirit, and love for the game. The exhibits date from the the 1920's, the beginning of basketball to today's many men and women leagues. The best way to view the Hall of Fame is to start from the top and work your way down to the bottom and interacting through out the building. Not only is the Hall of Fame known for the inside, but also for the exquisite design of the outside. Its all about the love for the game.
