spread over two floors both filled with amazing exhibits, activities
and hands-on-exhibits. Special highlight of the Royal Alberta
Museum include; Wild Alberta- filled with dioramas featuring the
latest environmental research and understanding how ecosystems work.
This exhibit encourages visitors to see the wild through different
eyes. Additional highlights include: a model of a single
drop of water enlarged 200 times showing myriad tiny organisms,
a mountain cave leading visitors under a real waterfall, live native
fish, a re-creation of a burned forest fire and more. The
Natural History Gallery- Offers an exploration of the wonders of our
natural world. Here visitors can experience: The Bug Room-
features some of the most exotic & largest bugs on the planet, The
Bird Gallery- is full of native birds from Alberta, also featured
bird eggs from around the world from the tiny Hummingbird to the
giant Ostrich. Fossils- here visitors will see several
dinosaur's from the Ice Age and more... And last, is the
Syncrude Gallery of Aboriginal Culture- This impressive exhibit is
one of the largest explorations of the First People's history on the
continent, featuring stories spanning 11,000 years and over 500
generations. This unique exhibit is like no other in Canada,
displaying over 3,000 artifacts, recorded voices, films, special
lighting all used to tell the amazing story of triumphs and
survival. Visitors will journey through time form the last ice
age to present day.... The Royal Alberta Museum has much to
see and enjoy so plan on spending the entire day when you visit the
