The Florida Aquarium
Dedicated to the entertainment, education, and conservation of marine
life, the Aquarium is the number one premium attraction of its kind in
Florida. Maintaining a comprehensive collection of over 10,000 aquatic
plants and animals, many of these species have been saved from
Florida and other parts of the world. Opening it's doors on March of 1995,
Florida's Aquarium servers as a role model to the preservation of landscapes,
ecosystems, and archaeological sites. Some of the exhibits include the Bays
& Beaches, Invaders, Wetlands, No bone Zone, Coral Reef, Swim with the
Fishes, Sea Hunt, Dragons Down Under, just to name a few.

St. Petersburg Museum of History
Amongst it's ongoing mission is the collection, preservation, and
interpretation of the history of St. Petersburg and Pinellas Peninsula. Third
oldest in Florida, the Museum was founded by Mary Eaton in 1920. Formerly
housing the aquarium, was a tiny building where the St. Petersburg
Historical Society was located. Currently, several exhibits are on display
such as: Haunted Tales History, Ingleside Vision, Vision, Fabric of
Our City, and The World's First Aviation Gallery.

The Seabird Sanctuary
Truly a unique place the Suncoast Sanctuary is located on the Gulf Coast of
Florida. One of the largest bird hospitals in the United States, it was founded
in 1971 by zoologist Ralph Heath. Staffed by seasoned professionals and
hundreds of volunteers, it is equipped with emergency equipment and facilities
for various type of injuries. The Seabird
Sanctuary is amongst the best
avian rehabilitation centers in the United States.
